I did a mini session with Sam and Jon right before she was on her way back to Berkeley. I'm going to be honest, I wasn't so fond of the idea of long distance relationships. I think it makes it that much harder to make your relationship work. Relationships are a roller coaster already! Well, my opinion on this has changed in the last 2 years. I've seen two of my best friends go through long distance relationships. I've seen their ups and downs, tears and all. But most importantly, I've seen them make it work. My opinion on love has never changed. If you want it to work, I mean REALLY want it to work, IT WILL WORK. Because loving is easy, but relationships are hard. I read this quote the other day and it said something along the lines of, love doesn't fade on it's own, love fades because someone decides to stop trying. I strongly believe that if your heart is not in it, don't force it. Well, Sam & Jon has definitely made it work. Somehow they got through the distance, and found a bigger appreciation for the limited time they had with each other. They're stronger than ever, and I couldn't be happier for my baby cousin! <3
